Antique Sheraton Tea Caddy in mahogany, the rectangular top opens to two compartments, with inlaid fan patterae on front and lid and herringbone stringing. English, circa 1780.

Rare Chester County Pennsylvania Spice Chest in walnut having a moulded cornice above a raised panel door opening to an arrangement of ten small drawers (one replaced) and raised on straight bracket feet. Secondary woods include: poplar, oak, walnut and beech. There is a faint inscription on one of the bottom drawers. Pennsylvania, circa 1760-80.

Spice boxes or chests were a status symbol in colonial America. Only a household that was well furnished and fairly prosperous had a spice box...

Exceptional Sheraton Tea Chest in satinwood banded in rosewood and with ebony and boxwood stringing: having a rectangular hinged lid with silverplated pull opening to an interior with two fitted tea caddies with oval lids and similar inlaid decoration. English, circa 1790.

Exceptional Pair of Italian Bronze and Ormolu Candlesticks with nicely detailed foliate decoration and with good patina and fine castings. Having a removable ormolu drip pan above a bronze candle cup and supported by a turned and foliate decorated column with a tripartite scrolling ormolu base and mounted on a tripartite bronze plinth. These would have been brought home as a souvenir by someone who had made the Grand Tour. Italy, circa 1870. 5" x 5" x 13"tall

Antique Dueling Pistol Case in mahogany, rectangular with brass carrying handles, now having a marbled paper interior and mounted on a later Chippendale style stand. Probably English, late 18th/early 19th Century.

Exceptional bombé tea caddy in “tiger” tortoiseshell, having a pagoda shaped top opening to an interior with two lidded compartments. Circa 1800-20. ProbablyDutch.

Exceptional George III bachelor’s chest in nicely figured mahogany with good color and patina, having a rectangular, cross banded top above an oak brushing slide and four graduated drawers flanked by canted, reeded corners and raised on straight bracket feet. Exceptional Antique Eglomise Lacemakers Box on later Stand; rectangular with lid and sides with gilt decoration against a white ground and the lid with a painted scene of a thatched farmhouse, opening to fitted interior with removable tray and lacemakers spindle/roller. 19th Century (minor paint losses)

Most likely French, 19th century. The image of an Englishman hunting with a hound was a common image on enamel boxes, especially snuff boxes in the eighteenth century. However, it clearly dates to the late nineteenth century. The lug and ribbed banding on the metal hinge, as well as the completely hand painted nature of the lid identify this box as a nineteenth-century creation.

Damage to hinge. Lid does not close entirely. Loss to underside enamel.

Small Antique Domed Top Penwork Sewing Box, having a hooped handle above a domed lid decorated with a scene of abby ruins, canted sides, and a front panel with scrolled, foliate decoration. Circa 1800, probably English. (overall scratches)
