This charming study of a young girl intent on cutting out paper dolls is reminiscent of works by Berthe Morisot, Mary Cassatt and Pierre-Auguste Renoir (his earlier works). She is beautifully captured with her rosebud lips, her hair tied up in a bow, a lacy pinafore over her navy dress and stockinged legs ...

An Antique Cinnabar Chinese carved tea jar. Carved in high relief with figures in a garden landscape. Some carved flowers on the lid and shoulder of the jar.

A painter of landscapes and still lifes, Roszezewski studied under Maillard. He made his debut at the Salon de Paris in 1868 and was particularly noted for his still life paintings.

Exceptional German Brass Mounted Kingwood and Coconut Wood Tea Chest by Abraham Roentgen (1711-1793) having a stepped lid surmounted by a brass carrying handle and opening to a divided interior with two lidded brass tea canisters and a lidded brass sugar canister with an unusual divided interior. The plinth base raised on brass ogee bracket feet has a concealed side drawer (for silver teaspoons). Circa 1755-1760.

Fine George III Octagonal Cellarette or Wine Cooler in mahogany with brass banding, having a hinged lid opening to a tin liner, slightly tapered body with brass carrying handles and the original stand with four champfered legs. English, circa 1780.

Originally used in the dining room to hold wine brought up from the cellar for the meal, the tin liner would have protected the wood from the condensation from the bottles. Now often used as an occasional or end table.
